Students' Baselines
What we expect from you
Using the Academy Building means:-
- Access to the Academy and Studio 6 is from 7.30am until 6pm for studying.
- Move round the building in a quiet, orderly manner and attend only designated Studio 6 spaces.
- Computers/laptops are limited so you may use the facilities available in other Learning Villages with their permission.
- From September to February students will follow the normal timetable. If by term 3 students are achieving their target grades and have attendance over 90% they will be nominated to have a freedom contract.
- Show respect for everyone within the Academy and for your environment.
- Students are expected to be in school from 8.30am until 3.20pm unless you have achieved a freedom contract authorisation from Miss Forster as a result of your ongoing success.
- Take pride in your black suit dress code. You are expected to follow the dress code at all times. The black suit jacket must be with you in the Academy at all times.
- The dress code includes a black suit jacket with black trousers or skirt. To create a business sense of style students can wear any style and colour top and shoes, but the suit must be black.
- Studio 6 students can use mobiles during the social time in the Restaurant when other students are not there but not in any other area within the Academy.
- Students are not allowed to go off site without permission unless they attend St Pauls or have a freedom contract. This is for fire safety.
- No headphones visible around school.
- From 4.30pm all students can go to the restaurant for a free drink and snack.
- Toilets should only be used at the designated break times. Studio 6 students have access to any STUDENT toilets.
- No computer games - zero tolerance.
Studio 6 Room Baselines
- Library silence in Studio 6.
- No mobile phones.
- Earphones are allowed if they are used respectfully.
- No food; drinks only.
Enterprise Hub Baselines
- No earphones.
- No mobile phones.
- Food - only packed food (snacks or cold).
- When the Hub is closed there will be a list of appropriate alternative rooms available that students can book.
- Students can book the conference room with Enterprise Hub Administrator
- Students in the Hub will do group work only which should be more creative and less formal.
Restaurant Room Baselines
- Noise to be kept to a minimum to respect the catering staff that are working.
- Appropriate behaviour and use of language.
- No phones or earphones during times when other students are in the restaurant.
- No laptops to be in the restaurant.
- This is a space to relax with full respect that this is a multi-functional room.
- The deli will be open from 10 am - 3pm for students to use.
- Prefects from Y12 and Y13 will record and monitor behaviour but it is the responsibility of all students to respect this privilege.
