Application FormMore than 12,000 printed resources to support your studies are located in our Learning Resource Centre (LRC).
The LRC also has a good selection of newspapers and magazines as well as audio materials and CD ROMs. Every student who attends the Academy is automatically a member of the LRC and can borrow materials. You do not need a borrower’s card as we use your fingerprint.
The LRC carries copies of text books, dictionaries, guides for revision and study skills. Resources not stocked in the Academy, which are needed for extended study, can often be obtained through our membership of the School Library Service at Aylesbury.
Resource files of newspaper cuttings for specific subjects are available for use in the LRC as well as access to a searchable online library of articles. You can search the LRC catalogue for resources and reserve materials to collect later via the internet/virtual learning environment.
Studio 6 students can also use the Open University library at Walton Campus and special introductory tours can be arranged. You will also be given the opportunity through the LRC to coach and mentor younger students who may struggle with reading.
