You will be joining the Milton Keynes Academy at a very exciting time. We are a rapidly improving Academy (Ofsted judgement Good with Outstanding Leadership and Management April 2014). We cater for 1400 students aged 11-19.  Our aim is to maximise the potential of all our learners and be at the heart of our community.

You will part of a successful team, work in an IT rich environment and contribute to the online curriculum. You will be welcomed into the Milton Keynes Academy Team, who are wholly focussed on teaching and learning; as a member of the team you will be well supported through a comprehensive programme of induction, training, coaching and mentoring to ensure you continue to develop as a teacher.

    MKA is a vibrant and rapidly improving Academy (Ofsted judgement Good October 2017) with outstanding facilities. We cater for 1400 students aged 11-19 and welcome students of all abilities. Our aim is to maximise the potential of all our learners and be at the heart of the community.

    We are seeking to appoint a talented and engaging Teacher of Geography to join our team. This post is suitable for an experienced teacher looking for an exciting, fresh opportunity or a newly qualified teacher looking for their first teaching role.

    You will be joining a Geography team, within the Humanities department, that has a proven track record of students making good progress in line or above the national average. We are really pleased with the excellent progress our disadvantaged learners make.

    The Humanities department is housed in the Achieve Village where all classrooms have an Interactive White Board and a desktop computer, enabling you to deliver engaging lessons. Outside of the classrooms we have a computer suite that can also be utilised. Furthermore, you will benefit from a highly organised curriculum plan where all lessons are planned and stored on the Academy's online curriculum, Moodle and Sharepoint. As a Teacher of Geography you will be part of a successful team, work in an IT rich environment and contribute to the online curriculum.

    You will be stepping into a department of 8 teachers with a range of skills and abilities, managed by the Head of Humanities, who is supported by Subject Leaders for Geography, History and Health & Social Care. From the moment you join us you will feel welcomed and supported by an experienced and varied team. As part of your induction into the Academy and the Humanities department you will be assigned a mentor who will support and guide you through your early days.

    You will be welcomed into the Milton Keynes Academy Team, who are wholly focused on teaching and learning. As a member of the team you will be well supported through a comprehensive programme of induction, training, coaching and mentoring to ensure you continue to develop as a teacher.
