We are very pleased to be welcoming new Year 7 students to the Academy in September. It is one of the best schools in Milton Keynes and a place where students learn, have fun and work towards achieving their potential. You probably have lots of questions about the Academy and how things are going to work. We hope we can already answer most of your questions.
There are many extremely good reasons why you will thrive at the Academy. Students are able to work in a fantastic fully-equipped environment - specially designed as a place where young people can work well and feel inspired. We have introduced some very different approaches to learning, all aimed at helping students achieve their best during their time at the Academy. For a start, there is a huge emphasis on high academic and personal achievement, with extra support for talented and gifted students and those needing extra help.
Students will be able to work in an inspiring specially designed state-of-the-art environment and will have the advantage of learning in many totally different ways – not done anywhere else in Milton Keynes. This includes having more hours of study, having different term times, taking exams earlier and benefiting from other exciting new approaches to teaching.
The Academy also has a special emphasis on enterprise, which means you will learn essential skills for future life such as team work, problem solving and creative thinking. Working closely with the Academy’s sponsor, Edge, we can create a brilliant place to study, develop and have fun. We guarantee that you will be given all the skills and encouragement you need to succeed in work and life.
