A real recipe for success

During the last 6 weeks as part of the Performing Arts Department Outreach programme, teachers from The Milton Keynes Academy have been working with local feeder school Falconhurst Year 6 students to create a street dance for parents and carers to enjoy. This is just one example where teachers from the Performing Arts department have been going out into local primary schools to deliver specialist lessons in music dance and drama to help improve and support the provision in local primary schools and ease the transition between key stages.
Emma Cook, Head of Performing Arts said: “The event was a great success; we had an excellent turn out from the parents and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The quality of the performance was excellent given the time and the commitment by all was inspiring”.
