Year 10 rise to the challenge of work experience

Year 10 students have just completed two weeks in the world of work.  They have been working in many different sectors and a vast array of companies throughout Milton Keynes from retailers in CMK to solicitors, banks, to veterinary surgeries, warehouses to media firms.

The vast majority of students have had a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience, it showed students the relevance of what they learn in school and the skills they learned on their placements will stand them in good stead for their future success.

The reports we have had back so far show that over thirty students proved to be ‘outstanding’, several have been offered immediate employment when they are sixteen and two have been offered apprenticeships.

Daniel Wright was placed at a property services company, this is what his supervisor said about him:

“The MD and all the staff here at FSG Property Services Ltd would just like to say how refreshing it was to have a young person showing so much enthusiasm, determination, willingness to learn and was at all times respectful.”
