A real recipe for success

Students have been enjoying a variety of meals themed on the World Cup this month. The Academy library staff too, have been giving students an appetite for reading by putting up special displays about the footballers and the teams taking part. "Often students that normally don't like reading will suddenly find they are hungry to find out facts and figures about their teams and grab the nearest magazine and newspaper." says Mrs Haines, LRC Manager. "It is really important to get into the reading habit and as with sport and music, the more you practice, the better you will become. Reading about something you really enjoy will improve your reading skills"
The MK Academy is a reading environment and we promote reading for pleasure and purpose.
