FEATURED STORY

Studio 6 students head to the west end

Posted: 14th October 2010

Studio 6 students headed to the west end to watch to Jersey Boys the story of Frankie Valli and the four seasons at the Prince Edward Theatre.  A group of 68 students headed towards London after a busy day at school and waited eagerly not knowing what a memorable evening they had ahead of them.  The musical tells the rags-to-riches story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the Italian-American quartet from New Jersey who sold 175 million records worldwide.

Deputy Head of Studio 6 Mr. Akram said "All the students eagerly awaited the start of the performance and were surprised by start of the show which was a modern pop-rap song which was a cover of The Four Seasons' (Oh, What a Night) the musical followed after this.  The professionalism and slick performance of all the cast impressed the students particularly that of Ryan Molloy who played Frankie Valli, his voice just filled the auditorium.

They really enjoyed the night and many of them appreciated the benefit of going to the theatre.  Many lessons were learnt from the musical from the importance of hard work and determination to succeed in something they have a passion for to working effectively in a team."

The first thing the students said as we left the theatre was "When can we go again?" it was a huge success and we hope it has planted a seed for most of our students to broaden their horizons.
