Bistro Live staff allowed a group of students take over their kitchen and restaurant recently.
Nineteen Year 9 students put theory into practice when they cooked and served a delicious traditional English breakfast at the Midsummer Boulevard venue.
“They did a really good job” said Bistro Live Head Chef Spencer Ollington. “It has been an absolute pleasure having them here and seeing their excitement and enthusiasm. By the end they had taken over and it was their service.”
The GCSE Hospitality and Catering students learned everything from how to carry three plates in one hand to kitchen terminology and the importance of shouting orders loudly in the kitchen.
