Students perform A Midsummer Night's Dream

Posted: 3rd November 2010

A group of students from Years 8-12 performed A Midsummer Night's Dream as part of the Shakespeare in Schools Festival at Stantonbury Campus Theatre on 2nd November 2010.

The performance was part of a Shakespeare evening which saw four schools come together to perform a variety of plays in different ways with costumes, lighting and sound. Performing Arts teacher Mrs. Jones said "Our students did a fantastic job and produced a brilliant production which made the Milton Keynes Academy very proud!"

Vice Principal, Mr. Giles added "I thought the show was brilliant. The sense of the whole company working together and the wonderful comic touches speak volumes for the work Mrs. Jones did with our students. To give the students that opportunity and expose them to the text was a great experience for them. Thank you for the considerable efforts put in to make that possible."

Kathleen Corr, Festival Co-ordinator for the Shakespeare Schools Festival said "I found your cast lovely to work with, focused and receptive. Thank you for helping to create a special evening."
