Academy students were amongst the chosen few to demonstrate their vocational skills at this year's annual VQ Day event in London.
VQ day, the annual nationwide celebration of vocational qualifications, saw colleges and learning providers from across the nation celebrating their creativity and expertise in front of an audience of influential MPs and entertainment icon Arlene Phillips OBE.
Academy coordinator of BTEC Science, Kelly Stone, said: "This was our first appearance at VQ day and it was an enormous success. We took five year 11 students to the event to showcase their skills in Forensic Science and teach members of the public how to recover and analyse evidence from the mock crime scene.
"The students conducted themselves in a mature and confident manner and showed themselves to be true ambassadors of vocational learning. I was beaming with pride all day!"
