FEATURED STORY

Star gazing in the main hall

Posted: 27th July 2010

An object that resembled a giant Christmas pudding appeared in the main hall this week.

The big black inflatable globe was a Stardome, brought into the school by the National Space Centre.

Year 9 and 10 students were able to go inside the Stardome to have a tour of a dark night sky with hundreds of brilliant points of light representing the stars and planets.

Teacher Jon Fleming organised the portable planetarium to visit the Academy as a way of bringing space and astrology to life for students.
