Macbeth performance for Year 10 students

The whole of Year 10 attended a performance of Shakespeare's Macbeth to help with their English studies. The Arty-Fact Theatre Company came to the Academy to perform the well known play in the main hall.

Head of Key Stage 4 English, Karen Ellam said "It was a chance for students to see Macbeth live and to think about how they might stage the key scenes from the famous play. The students listened and watched well and have certainly gained some ideas about the problems putting on a production of the Scottish Play in a school hall. As this is the main part of their coursework assignment this has been invaluable."
