A near-derelict part of the old bus station at Central Milton Keynes has been transformed into a bright and inviting social area for young people.
The MAD Lounge project involved a group of teenagers from The Milton Keynes Academy masterminding the amazing £10,000 Busby revamp.
Christopher Stephens, Chairman of the Trustees for the DHL UK Foundation, the organisation which funded the project, officially opened the Lounge on May 5. He said: "This is a brilliant and very moving moment. Fifty DHL employees have been involved and we see that the new lounge will be of real benefit to the local community."
Students involved with the project throughout were Lewis Howarth, Thusitha Fernando, Tyler Trower, Jumer Ahmed, Hassan Ali Rahimi, Richard Yeboah, Sharon Appiah with additional help from other Studio Six students.
