Smart Students in the fast lane

There were thrills and spills galore at the Academy just before the half term break.
Students with excellent attendance records were rewarded by being given time off lessons to skate.
A temporary skating rink was installed on the basketball court at the Academy as a treat for Year 7 and Year 8 students with high attendance.
Principal Lorna Caldicott said: "We decided to give an incentive to encourage 100 per cent attendance, and are pleased that the campaign was so successful. The students had a great time and really enjoyed their skating experience.
