Smart Students in the fast lane

Many of our senior Studio 6 students are full of enthusiasm about going to university.
A group of new Year 13 students spent a day learning about the benefits of higher education and were given lots of practical advice and information.
The event was organised by Deputy Head of Studio 6 Mr Akram who said: “The day has been very useful to students and is a follow-on from the Universities Fair earlier this year. We discussed university funding, registering with UCAS, applying for the right course and writing personal statements.”
The 58 students also heard a talk by a representative from Northampton University and watched a film about students at Newcastle University giving money-saving tips.
