Farewell to Year 13 students


July 2010

An emotional assembly took place to mark the end of school for the Year 13 students who have now left the Academy. The special assembly involved tributes from staff, the presentation of awards and a celebration lunch.

Principal Mrs Caldicott congratulated the leavers and described the achievements of the year group as "a stunning success."She added: "You have been a fine example for younger children - showing leadership, teamwork, resilience and communication skills. We are very proud of you."

Head of Studio 6 Miss Forster and former sixth form Head Mrs Woodhead, summarised achievements of the students and wished them well for the future. Year 13 students worked together to create a year book of favourite memories which will be on display.

Daryel Anthony - Diligence and perseverance in geography

Demi James - outstanding in Health and Social Care

Isian Moses - outstanding in Health and Social Care

Maria Bostan - outstanding effort in Health and Social Care

Evangeline Kunaka - outstanding effort in Health and Social Care

Kelly Head - outstanding effort in History

Jessica Mbaud - outstanding effort in ICT

Sandeep Ghotora - outstanding effort in ICT

Humphrey Agyemang - outstanding effort in ICT

Zuhura Ibrahim - Maths commitment

Giovanna Larvea - Maths commitment

Arthur Coveny - excellent work ethics in Physics

Hannah Winsor - outstanding efforts plus commitment in Psychology

Miss Forster - for being the perfect match for Joe Cole and the most likely to teach Geography

Mr Giles -most travelled Geography teacher

Mr Smulders - best coffee maker

Mr Mernagh - always able to find You Tube videos

Monika -best friend of Studio 6 award

Mr Baker -most interesting videos to show students

Mr Ahmed - best wind-up merchant

Mr Winfield - funniest business-related stories

Mr Buxton - funniest teacher

Mr Saunders - best blue tac craftsman

Mr Davu- Most inspirational words when saying ‘YOU NEED 2 A'S'

Mr Akram: Most hungriest Teacher

Mr Martin - Most quiet teacher
