Smart Students in the fast lane

Sixty lucky youngsters from Orchard School in Springfield enjoyed a magical Christmas treat this week.
The Year 4 primary pupils were special guests at an amazing Winter Wonderland spectacle organised by Studio 6 students at The Milton Keynes Academy.
The excited eight and nine year olds enjoyed a live musical show, were blasted by ‘snow', received gifts from Father Christmas, created their own festive decorations and tucked into a festive lunch.
"It was a fantastic event and seeing the huge smiles on the kids' faces was just amazing," said Academy teacher Darren Thomson, "My Year 12 Creative and Media Diploma students decided that they wanted to do something really special for young children so worked very hard for eight weeks on the project. They did a superb job and created a day that will be remembered by a lot of little children for a very long time."
