Community thanks

A big thank you was given to members of the local community for their support and help during past year.

Representatives from different organisations and businesses enjoyed a breakfast meeting at the Academy on October 7.

Guests included the Leader of the local Somali community as well as a broad mix of people including representatives from Campbell Parish Council, Countec, Make a Difference, MK Dons, the Mosaic Mentoring Project, the Police and the Army.

Director of Business and Enterprise Sean Hickey said the event was a big success and he was thrilled that so many people had taken the time to attend.

He told the audience: "We give a lot and ask a lot, a huge thanks to you all and a big thank you to everyone who has helped to add great richness and variety to the curriculum in the past year."

 Mr Hickey said the event was also an opportunity to share news of exciting plans for the year ahead, including new mentoring opportunities and helping students develop their career skills.

Guests were entertained by students singing and demonstrating Bollywood dancing, and were able to enjoy a magnificent breakfast buffet prepared by the Academy's in-house catering team.
