Smart Students in the fast lane

Comic Relief Red Nose Day was marked at the Academy by lots of people doing something funny for money.
Year 12 Leisure and Tourism students organised the day’s events to raise money for the charity. Their teacher, Miss Lee, said: “I have been very impressed by what they have achieved. They worked really hard and had a lot of fun too.”
The students had a meeting with senior staff to persuade them to let students ‘dress down’ for the day. They also worked with other groups throughout the school to organise activities such as a sponsored silence, cake sale and pyjama dressing.
