Forty-five Studio 6 students headed to the West End in London to watch ‘Blood Brothers’.
Set in Liverpool during the 1950's, ‘Blood Brothers’ tracks the lives of the twins Mickey & Eddy through to adulthood and ends with tragic consequences during the 1970's. The final act is both emotionally charged and an unexpected ending.
Deputy Head of Studio 6 Mr. Akram said “The students really enjoyed the night and many of them appreciated the benefit of going to the theatre. Many lessons were learnt from the musical, from the importance of hard work and determination to succeed in something they have a passion for, to working effectively in a team." The first thing the students said as we left the theatre was "When can we go again?" It was a huge success and we hope it has planted a seed for of our students to broaden their horizons.
