The biggest hustings of the local General Election campaign took part at an event organised by young people from five city secondary schools yesterday (Thursday).
Milton Keynes South MP hopefuls were quizzed by an audience of around 100 representative students from St Paul's, Radcliffe, Oakgrove, Walton High and The Milton Keynes Academy
The out of school hours event, organised by students at the Academy, involved a debate with parliamentary hopefuls Dr Phyllis Starkey (Labour), Iain Stewart (Conservative) and Peter Jones (Liberal Democrat).
Academy Head Girl Sandeep Gotori, who chaired the event, said: "It was good that the candidates took time out of their busy schedules to come and see us. It was a fascinating opportunity for us to hear first-hand the views from the three main candidates."
