Art & Design Show

Visitors to the Academy were treated to an inspiring display of creativity at the annual Art and Design Show.

Stunning artwork and beautifully crafted items were on display in the main foyer during the event.

Head of Art and Design Mr Cromwell said: “The standard of work this year is absolutely phenomenal and the standard of work is very high across all the disciplines.  It represents a lot of work from a lot of people and everyone in the Village has been involved to make it happen.”

Year 11 student Scarlett Manley is aiming to become a graphic designer, and displayed work from a project involving organics.  She said: “I am proud and very happy to have my work on display.”

Another Year 11 student, Lucy Smith, also had artwork on display and is hoping to develop her passion for drawing into a career involving classical art.

The event also involved musical performances and mouth-watering catering by students.
