Smart Students in the fast lane

Tucking into tasty cakes resulted into a massive £1,039 being raised for Willen Hospice recently.
Restaurant Manager Mrs Whitfield organised a teatime event and ensured that more than 800 cakes were available to buy. Mrs Whitfield said: “I am absolutely delighted that we raised so much money for such a good cause.”
The tea party on February 2 was attended by business people, local residents and staff. Studio 6 students helped to serve refreshments. Proceeds were boosted when 60 boxes of cakes were also sold to Academy staff the following day.
A big thank you goes to Brake Bros who donated some of the cakes and to Brasserie Blanc and Elanele Beauty Centre for donating raffle prizes. As an added bonus, RFE International UK donated an exercise bike which was auctioned for £100.
