Mr Ritson, Miss Lea and Mr Christmas, are taking a group of 12 students on an expedition of life-time to Morocco in July 2013. The expedition consists of an 8-day trek in the North-West Africa, where students will get the chance to walk up the highest point in North Africa, by trekking up the Atlas Mountains. Morocco’s mountain regions provide the perfect location for trekking as the students will be able to follow all sorts of mountain passes which weave their way through Berber villages, among fields of flowers and local attractions. Morocco is also home to some of the world’s most stunning gorges and desert environments, which the students will be trekking through whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery. The trip to Morocco will allow the students to encounter a blend of different opportunities from volunteering in a small village school to experiencing the cultures of Morocco in the city of Marrakech.
Before the students can get there they have to rasie the funds to go. The students are working extremely hard to raise the money to get there, by holding a number of different money raising ideas, from school disco's to cake sales. So far, within school we have rasied over £1000 to help the students achieve their target money, but studetns are also independantly and personally raising money outside of school too.
