TheMilton   KeynesAcademyopened in September 2009 in a state of the art building catering for 1300 students aged 11-18.  We are a centre of excellence for Business andEnterpriselearning and at the heart of our community. 

A new Headship team from Thomas Telford, the top performing Training School, has started a transformation that requires a colleague of exceptional quality to complement our teaching team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher, holding Qualified Teacher Status, to work in our LearningVillage. We believe in spending extra time on English and Maths.  Every day, students will spend the equivalent of an hour each on literacy and numeracy in order to help them achieve their own path to success.  As a teacher of English you will be at the forefront of our curriculum development and our focus on quality teaching.

As a subject teacher you will work in state-of-the-art facilities. Every room has access to a smartboard and most rooms have a visualiser. There is an ICT suite in each learning village, two sets of laptop trolleys and a well resourced VLE.

You will be well supported by the Senior Leadership Team who are focussed on teaching and learning; by a support team who assist you in lessons to make outstanding progress, and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure your individual needs are met and that you fulfil your potential as a teacher.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Childcare Teacher, holding Qualified Teacher Status to work at the Academy.   You will be delivering the BTEC Level 3 National Award in Childcare, Learning and Development as well as the BTEC Level 2 First Diploma. You will join a flourishing Humanities team that also delivers Geography, History, Sociology and Health & Social Care.

As a teacher of Childcare you will be at the forefront of our curriculum development and our focus on quality teaching.  You will work in state-of-the-art facilities and have your own tablet PC. Every room has access to a smartboard and many rooms have a visualiser. There is an ICT suite in each learning village, two sets of laptop trolleys and a well resourced VLE.

As a member of the Milton Keynes Academy teaching team you will be well supported – by the senior leadership team who are focussed on teaching and learning; by a support staff team who assist you as a teacher in the classroom and in lessons to make outstanding progress and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure your individual needs are met and that you fulfil your potential as a teacher.
